  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/4 cup buckwheat flour (kuttu ka atta)
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)
  • Oil, for shallow frying

How to Make Vratwale Paneer Rolls

 Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 200 g grated paneer and 2 medium boiled and mashed potatoes.
  2. Add 2-3 finely chopped green chilies, 1 tsp ginger paste, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, salt to taste, and fresh coriander leaves (if using).
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

 Step 2: Shape the Rolls

  1. Divide the filling mixture into equal portions.
  2. Take one portion and shape it into a cylindrical roll, about 4-5 inches long.
  3. Repeat this process with the remaining filling.

 Step 3: Prepare the Coating

  1. In a separate bowl, add 1/4 cup buckwheat flour.
  2. If the batter is too thick, you can add a little water to achieve a smooth consistency.

Step 4: Coat and Fry the Rolls

  1. Heat oil in a shallow frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Dip each roll into the buckwheat flour batter, ensuring it is coated well.
  3. Carefully place the coated rolls in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally for even cooking.
  4. Remove the rolls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Tips for Perfect Vrat wale Paneer Rolls

  • Ensure the paneer is well-pressed and moisture-free for better binding.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding or reducing green chilies according to your taste.
  • Fry the rolls on medium heat to ensure they cook through without burning.
